Trosartiklerne - Articles of Faith

1. Vi tror på Gud, den evige Fader, på hans Søn Jesus Kristus og på Helligånden.	1. WE believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
2. Vi tror, at menneskene vil blive straffet for deres egne synder og ikke for Adams overtrædelse.	2. We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression.
3. Vi tror, at hele menneskeheden gennem Kristi forsoning, kan blive frelst ved at adlyde evangliets love og forordninger.	3. We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
4. Vi tror, at evangeliets første grundsætninger og forordninger er: 1) Tro på Herren Jesus Kristus, 2) Omvendelse, 3) Dåb ved nedsænkning i vandet til syndernes 4) Håndspålæggelse for Helligåndens gave.	4. We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by eimmersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
5. Vi tror, at en mand ma kaldes af Gud ved profeti og håndspålæggelse af sådanne, som har myndighed dertil, for at prædike evangeliet og tjene i dets forordninger.	5. We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the fordinances thereof.
6. Vi tror på den samme organisation, som fandtes i den oprindelige kirke, nemlig apostle, profeter, hyrder, lærere, evangelister, o.s.v.	6. We believe in the same aorganization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
7. Vi tror på tungemålsgaven, profeti, åbenbaring, syner, helbredelse, udlægning af tungemål, o.s.v.	7. We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
8. Vi tror, at Bibelen er Guds ord, for så vidt, som den er rigtigt oversat; vi tror også, at Mormons Bog er Guds ord.	8. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
9. Vi tror alt, hvad Gud har åbenbaret, alt, hvad han nu åbenbarer, og vi tror, at han endnu vil åbenbare mange store og vigtige ting angående Guds rige.	9. We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
10. Vi tror på Israels virkelige indsamling og de ti stammers tilbageførelse; at Zion (det ny Jerusalem) vil blive grundlagt på det amerikanske fastland, at Kristus personligt vil regere på jorden, og at jorden vil blive fornyet og få sin paradisiske herlighed.	10. We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
11. Vi kræver ret til at dyrke den almægtige Gud i overensstemmelse med vor egen samvittigheds bud og indrømmer alle mennesker den samme ret, lad dem tilbede hvorledes, hvor eller hvad de vil.	11. We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own cconscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them dworship how, where, or what they may.
12. Vi tror, at vi må være loyale over for konger, præidenter, herskere og øvrighedspersoner og adlyde ære og holde lovene.	12. We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
13. Vi tror, at vi må være ærlige, sandfærdige, kyske, velgørende, og dydige og gøre godt mod alle. I virkeligheden kan vi sige, at vi følger Paulus’ formaning: Vi tror efter alt, hvad der er dydigt, elskeligt, hvad der har godt lov eller er prisværdigt.	13. We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul. We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to gendure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
